30% of major airline companies equip their planes with wireless internet access. 70% of major airlines offer
passengers free on-board snacks. What is the greatest possible percentage of major airline companies that
offer both wireless internet and free on-board snacks?

a)21% b)30% c) 40% d)50% e)70%



i saw d grid way but cudnt solve it.... plzzzz help me out guys!!

Answer is 30%, as maximum overlap possible is 30%. I don't think you need a grid for this.

30%; because we are looking for a maximum number of companies that provide both wireless internet and free on-board snacks. Maximum can only be 30 because we have a maximum of 30% companies providing wireless, so the number cannot exceed 30 for wireless.

If it was 40% wireless and 60% snacks, then the right answer would have been 40%.

The grid form is not required here.

As only 30% of the airlines have wireless internet. So, the maximum chances that a person can use wireless internet is 30%.
Also, since 70% of the airlines provide snacks on board. So, the maximum chances that a person can have snacks on board is 70%.
Now, if take the intersection among both these cases, then it will come out to be 30%

It cannot be 70 as only 30% of the airlines offer wireless internet.
