how to proceed after gmat

hi stacey,

first of i would like to thank you for your help. i gave my gmat last week and got a score of 740 (q-50, v-40). but i am disappointed with my essay score. i just got a 4. is there a way by which i can reevaluate my essay score, i mean is there a provision for the same?

anyway now the next step begins, hunting for the schools and applying to them. i am planning to apply for the year 2008 , but would like to start doing the research now onwards. can you guide me through the next stages?

also what is the validity of the gmat score. i have seen in some of the posts that some schools dont prefer gmat score that are more than 2 years old.

The only way to rectify the score is to retake the entire exam.

I have never heard that about 2 years. I do not think it is true.

Perhaps some of the GMAT experts in the forum have other insights.

It's a lot easier to get a 6.0 AWA than a 40V. Let your essays speak for your writing abilities. I hear that business schools don't even care for the AWA unless it is below a 4.0
