Work Experience

My job starts in Jan 2014, if i want to apply for the 2015 fall intake, then while filling up my applications in October 2014, do i state that my work ex is 10 months or do i calculate it till the time i will be leaving my job and state that it is 18 months (till june 2015) ? Please help

Hi,

This depends on what the application asks for. Most will explicitly state whether they want current experience or up to matriculation.

As a side question, if you're starting your job in Jan of 2014, why are you applying so soon to join an MBA program? That's going to put you in a really tough spot.

Thank you sir, for your prompt reply.

If i do apply in October 2014, it would be for the MIS program, through my gmat score.
So a 10 month experience would be an added advantage for that right ?

Hey there,

I'm so sorry it took me so long to respond to this! They do look for applicants with less experience than the traditional MBA programs. However, they're still looking to identify the best possible applicants. I don't know much about your work experience but make sure it helps you differentiate!
