Query in the Gmat prep now Geometry video

If AE=EC, what is the length of AB? (diagram attached)

1) AC =10
2) X=30

The video mentions that since both the statements force AB to have only one length the two statements are sufficient.

Since the question asks what is the length, shouldn't the result be dependent on which statement results in a value/ if both statements result in a value.

The correct answer is, indeed, C

I'm not sure what you are asking above (in green), Prerna.
The statements COMBINED are sufficient to answer the target question. However, each statement ALONE is not sufficient.
