Like vs such as

Use such as when giving examples

a,b,e

e-> unnecessary/incorrect use of past perfect had contributed

b->commencement of the decade of the 1930s

Wordy it is suff to say after the 1930s commenced. as X and also Y is not parallel.


Choose A(No error)

Such X as a,b,c is acceptable construction where a,b,c are examples of X

as X and Y is parallel.

IMO A

such as (because singers are used as eg.) is preffered

contribute to -----correct idiom
contribute in-----is incorrect

so left with A
It does not matter how many times you get knocked down , but how many times you get up
