Indus civilization was either in decline when it was destroyed by Aryan invaders from the northwest speaking an Indo-European language from which most of the languages of Pakistan, Northern India, and Bangladesh descend or that it was militarily vulnerable.

A. that it was militarily vulnerable.
B. had militarily vulnerability.
C. was militarily vulnerable.
D. militarily vulnerable.
E. was it militarily vulnerable.

confused...pls assist..OA is C

The Option should have " Either or " Combination.
Also the word WAS must be there as its present in 1st part .

So that leaves us with C and E .

I will go with C as "Was in decline " and 'Was Military Vulnerable' sounds more good

Though this Question is certainly not of GMAT type. Awkward choices.

But if i have to choose one i would go for D. This Question has already been dabated many times in the past. Majority of the respondents find the answer to be D but dnt know why source clains it to be C.

@pappueshwar, Take my suggestion, Please do not go for unauthenticated sources unless you have mastered SC. This leads to lot of confusion.
