Does X = 90?

I think we can rephrase the question to: Is AB the diameter of the circle?

Because if AB = Diameter of circle, x = 90 deg

Statement 1 ------ Not sufficient as it doesn't provide any info for AB

Statement 2 ------ Proves AB is not equal to diameter and answers the question as No.

Hence B should be the answer
