We need the amount of gasoline used during the trip.

5h at 50miles/h --> 250 miles
At 50miles/h it uses 1 gallon per 30 miles
So the number of gallons used for 250 miles is: 250/30=8.3

The fraction is 8.3/12
or 25/36
