100 toys total => 0.25(100) = 25 red and 0.75(100) = 75 blue
100/2 = 50 size A and 50 size B
10 are red and size A, which means that 50 - 10 = 40 are red and size B. This therefore means that 75 - 40 = 35 are blue and size B.
Choose D

We have 25 red toys and 75 blue ones. 50 toys are size A and 50 are size B.grandh01 wrote:In each production lot for a certain toy,
25 percent of the toys are red and 75
percent of the toys are blue. Half the
toys are size A and half are size B. If
10 out of a lot of 100 toys are red and
size A, how many of the toys are blue
and size B?
(A) 15 (B) 25 (C) 30
(D) 35 (E) 40
If 10 toys are red and have size A.=>
red toys left = 25-10= 15. These toys must be Size B. Hence size B toys left = 50-15= 35.
Hence, These 35 must be blue.
35 toys are size B and blue. Use matrix method for quicker calculations
D is correct.
