I'm interested in pursuing a Masters in Finance degree in the NYC area. I have 5 years of experience working at a major investment bank in derivatives trade support and valuations. At this stage, I'd like to move into a market risk / quantitative role. As such, a Masters in Finance makes sense for me.
What does everyone think of my chances at getting accepted to a MSF program in NYC with the following credentials:
- 5 years work experience in derivatives
- Bachelors in Finance
- Good recommendations
- GMAT 620 (Q: 69%, V: 58%)
- Deep interest to study quantitative finance
- Willing to take math courses to satisfy requirements before entry
Any suggestions are much appreciated!
Thank you!
