Hello Marry, thank you for sharing your time with us.
My first, and most important, question: could you throw some light on the reputation of the MBA program offered by LSBF. Many seem to view LSBF as one of those "shady" schools, which are more interested in sucking in money than anything else. The non-appearance of LSBF in any of the leading MBA Ranking Charts only adds more smoke to the flame.
LSBF however claims that since its degree is not directly offered by it (its offered by Grenoble, i believe), it is not considered for the rankings. LSBF claims that the EMBA is signature program.
Marry, please shed some light on the above. Thanks.

If I ultimately want to end up in the U.S. how helpful is the career office with helping students land internships and jobs with U.S. firms?

Hi,
Thank you for volunteering your time. Could you give some insight on Marketing stream at LBS Mba program. I want to change careers from IT to marketing, so I was wondering if you could tell me anything that is unique in that area at London Business School.
Thanks

Hello all,
The London School of Business and Finance is one of the world's fastest-growing business schools. LSBF has over 25,000 students from 150 nations at its campuses in the UK, Canada and Singapore.
As a private business school, LSBF works in academic partnership with leading universities to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Currently, LSBF offers a wide range of programmes which are validated by institutions such as the triple-accredited Grenoble Graduate Business School (GGSB), University of Bradford, University of Central Lancashire, as well as professional qualification bodies such as ACCA and CIMA.
Some of the courses delivered at LSBF by GGSB are highly ranked in the Financial Times and other international rankings. If you'd like to learn more, visit: https://www.grenoble-em.com/292-classements-1.aspx
In addition, a report published in December 2012 by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) gave LSBF the highest accolade - a confidence judgement - on its academic standards and on the awards offered at the school. Hey Mary,
Does the LSB still teach Modern Portfolio Theory and do you do discounted cash flow analysis of companies future earnings? If so, how accurate/ valuable do you think those types of projections are? Also, what would you say the number one difference between the value of reading advanced Finance books on your own/ searching the internet for a wealth of information vs. paying the costly tuition rate at a modern day business school? AKA what is the value difference in actually going to school vs. learning on your own. It is a serious concern for most students who see 6 digit tuition rates and get quite frightened.
Thanks!
