I just took the GMAT today and got a 640 (50Q, 27V). Will such a large difference in quantitative and verbal scores be looked at negatively from admissions offices compared to a more balanced 640?

Thank You

Dear oceanview421,

It depends. If you have other evidence of your verbal ability from your essays, interview, and the AWA, then it is not necessarily a concern. If your essays, AWA, and interview indicate you struggle with English or effectively communicating your ideas, then you should probably be more concerned.

Good luck,
Lisa
