Curious how closely the breakdown of a GMAT is considered when applying. I recently took the GMAT and received a total 750 (98%) with Math (47, 79%) and verbal (46, 99%). I am going into banking/finance and know quant is extremely important. Know the score is great, but curious on the weighting of breakdowns and will my quant score come into question?
Dear bk136587,
Congratulations on your GMAT score! I would not be overly concerned with your breakdown or feel that your quant is low. There are some schools that look for your raw score on the quant to be 50+, but that does not mean they reject those whose raw scores are lower than 50. A 47 raw score is quite good, so I think you should focus your efforts on the rest of your application (just my opinion).
Best of luck,
Lisa
