Runs scored in n matches = 65n;
Runs scored in (n + 1) matches = 65n + 100;
Again, Runs scored in (n + 1) matches = 70(n + 1);

Thus, 65n + 100 = 70(n + 1)

n = 6

The correct answer: B

Hope this helps!

Here we have

Total Increase in score of \(n\) matches is \(5n\)
Total increase \(+\) new average \(=\) New score

\(5n + 70 = 100 \Longrightarrow n=6\)

So, B

We can create the equation:

(65n + 100) / (n + 1) = 70

65n + 100 = 70n + 70

30 = 5n

6 = n
