Of 110 customers at a restaurant, 63 order hamburgers, and 71 order French fries. If 22 customers order neither hamburgers nor French fries, how many customers order both hamburgers and French fries?

A. 8
B. 30
C. 31
D. 46
E. 88

OA D
We can create the equation:

110 = 63 + 71 - b + 22

110 = 156 - b

46 = b

Answer: D
