According to me answer should be 'C' but OG ans is 'E'. Can someone explain this.
The answer is definitely C- neither statement is sufficient, and with both, we know that n is negative (p-q is negative from (2), and p-q>n, from (1)) and p and q are positive, so sufficient.

Incidentally, my copy of the OG also lists the correct answer as C, not as E (though their solution is a bit different from mine).
