Turning away at the exam center

by tharunthegreat » Tue Nov 11, 2008 10:17 am
The worst thing to happen for a GMAT aspirant is turning away from the exam center. Not even the finger prints nor the digital autograph is taken.

This happened to one of my friends who had been shown the way out, of course however sincerely and politely it was, for a name discrepancy with the appointment letter and passport. Several months of hard work went into vain just because of a silly mistake for which the consequence was painful. He was adviced to contact the call center and modify the name as per the passport. He came to know that no amount could be refunded and the procedure takes 2 days. Once the name is properly changed, he can re schedule the appointment not surprisingly swiping his credit card again.

Caution: Never ever be sloppy/sleepy while filling the application. To that matter while signing up for an online account, be prudent and have complete presence of mind. To such websites which you feel shape your future and decide the destiny, always be genuine and provide appropriate and tidy data/detail.
