Adding my 2 cents...
few of us, already narrowed down to B and E.
I'll choose B because:
(E) "the reason is that" is unnecessarily wordy.
The more concise version in answer choice (B) is preferred.

just had a closer look at choices. Except B, All options are trying to introduce subordinate structure. well guys OA is B
but my ans was A
because i thought in A the clause after comma is dependent on preceding clause and therefore comma is justified
but i am wrng y????????

IMO the presence of this is killed the subordinate behavior and created comma splice. Had it been without that, option A wud have been fine.
