The NUMBER of questions answered correctly is a weak indicator of your score.
Just as important -- if not more important -- is the LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY of the questions answered correctly.
Here's one possible explanation for the lower score on your second test:
You missed a high proportion of Q6-11 -- most of which were probably hard, since you answered 4 of the first 5 questions correctly.
By missing these hard questions, you induced the software to stop feeding you hard questions.
The next set of questions thus were of moderate difficulty.
By answering these questions correctly, you induced the software to try once more to feed you hard questions.
Then you missed a high proportion of Q24-30.
The result is that a majority of the questions that you answered correctly were of moderate difficulty, yielding a medium-level score.
