Hi Sagar,
Quite a few IIM grads start looking for a second MBA after several years of work-ex in India. Each candidate might have his/her own motivation to do so. The key is to present your profile well and convincingly put forth your reasons for pursuing a second MBA.
If you can crack the CAT, GMAT shouldn't be a big hurdle for you to cross.
A candidate with a similar profile (2nd MBA, close to 30, no overseas experience, but purely finance, he wasn't from IIM) that I've been interacting with (on
another forum) applied to 4 schools. He's got an offer from 3 of them and is getting interviewed by the 4th one.
So choose your schools well and put in your best effort.
Come back here when you get your GMAT score and we can continue the discussion about which schools you could look at. I'd specifically want to know more about your last 3 years in finance. That's the part that you can use to give yourself an edge vis-a-vis the other engineer/IT guys from India.
For now, focus on your GMAT.
Good luck!
