Hi,
I have a time management problem that I suspect many of us share. I feel as if I am wasting a lot of time on SC questions when the correct answer is A. That is, I read the sentence and i think it is flawless both structurally and logically.
Despite having already made up my mind, I usually spend atleast 70 seconds on answer A questions reading ALL of the alternatives, word by word, looking for anything i like.
How do you guys hand the As? I appreciate any input!
As an example, I will include problem 14 from OG 12. (It took me 65 secs)
14. Sunspots, vortices of gas associated with strong
electromagnetic activity, are visible as dark spots on
the surface of the Sun but have never been sighted on
the Sun's poles or equator.
(A) are visible as dark spots on the surface of the
Sun but have never been sighted on
(B) are visible as dark spots that never have been
sighted on the surface of the Sun
(C) appear on the surface of the Sun as dark spots
although never sighted at
(D) appear as dark spots on the surface of the Sun,
although never having been sighted at
(E) appear as dark spots on the Sun's surface,
which have never been sighted on
