different modifiers

by Gurpinder » Wed Sep 15, 2010 12:08 pm
hey guys,

whats the difference between a modifier that modifies a noun and a modifying clause or are they the same thing and are always modifying the noun after the clause? maybe im just creating confusion for no reason!

example:

Bright and blue, the sky was beautiful.
even though I like to take Whey-Isolate protein after working out, I prefer Casein protein before going to bed.

thx all.
"Do not confuse motion and progress. A rocking horse keeps moving but does not make any progress."
- Alfred A. Montapert, Philosopher.

As far as I have seen, modifiers always modify the nouns after the clause.
