1000 SC: does it use copies of OG questions?

by ken3233 » Sun Mar 29, 2009 11:39 am
I'm looking at the 1000 SC website right now, and I find it intriguing. I am wondering, however, are these sentence correction questions copies of problems from the OG books, or are they original?

I'm also interested in anyone's feedback about the quality of 1000 SC as GMAT prep material. What are the pros and cons?

Does anyone know if any of the 1000 SC questions are ungrammatical by GMAT standards?

Now that you've seen their website, what's your impression of their test questions?

There are some good questions, but honestly I would not use it. I've randomly looked at 6 questions and found that of the 6, 2 correct answers were grammatically wrong, and 1 correct answer may be grammatically wrong (I think it is but i'm not sure).

It seems that the fraction of problematic questions is too high to be acceptable. I think the potential downside of using this resource outweighs the benefits. Not to mention the lack of explanations.

I'm not in a position to give good feedback on the 1000RC and 1000CR

Thanks for your feedback. Somebody else on this forum said something similar about 1000 SC in the past. As a result of this feedback, I will likely avoid 1000 SC.
