If n is an integer and 100 < n <200, what is the value of n?
(1) is an odd integer.
(2) is an even integer.

A. Statement (1) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (2) alone is not sufficient.
B. Statement (2) ALONE is sufficient, but statement (1) alone is not sufficient.
C. BOTH statements TOGETHER are sufficient, but NEITHER statement ALONE is sufficient.
D. EACH statement ALONE is sufficient.
E. Statements (1) and (2) TOGETHER are NOT sufficient.

100....n....200 and we know that N is a # not a fraction.

(1) N is odd.

This statement is not sufficient because N can be any odd number between 100 and 200 like 103, 105, 107, 109....

(2) N is even.

This statement is not sufficient because N can be any even number between 100 and 200 like 102,104,106,108

They cannot make sense together because a number is never an even AND odd.

So the answer is (E).

I am not sure whether this is a good GMAT question or whether you wrote it wrong here.

(1) says n=odd
(2) says n = even

the two statements don't align with each other. This is unlikely an official GMAT ques.

B.... only 45*4 =180 falls in the range (101-199)

not A....bcoz both 36*3 and 36*5 fall in the given range....
