Having more than the usual numbers of fingers or toes on the hands or feet is termed polydactyly.
a) Having more than the usual numbers of fingers or toes
b) Having had more than the usual number of fingers or toes
c) Having more than the usual number of fingers or toes
d) To have more than the usual number of fingers or toes
e) To have more than the usual numbers of fingers or toes

infinitive is my weaker area in s/c , i never got the concept clear, so guys along with answers do provide sme link or refferal mat to understand the concept

This isn't an infinitive problem. This is an idiom problem. Choose C. The correct idiom is "number of"

yes true but then y do u chose C over D

In general, the GMAT does not like sentences to have infinitives as subjects, so if all else is equal, choose the gerund as the subject instead.
