Please don't post pictures and that too with OAs revealed. Take time to type in the questions or search and copy paste.

* Users can't see the question while replying or can use the quote option
* OAs are not covered
* Visitors to the forum cannot see pictures or documents

A/B - SV error
C - not parallel and usage of their is wrong - enhance athlete's X (performance) and Y (preparation) seems right whereas in the choice C 'their' seems redundant.
D - enhancement of athlete's performance and preparing them - not parallel

IMO E.
Getting defeated is just a temporary notion, giving it up is what makes it permanent.
