How effective is Princeton tests in terms of grading?

Hi All,

I am new to this forum an starting to get a pic of it slowly.

I have a question regarding Princeton Review CAT tests in terms of grading?
Are they accurate in terms of grading you? I was very disappointed with my scores in Demo test which i have taken multiple times.
I have my GMAT test in another 15 days. I don't want to write any more Princeton tests and get myself demotivated in the last 2 weeks.

Please suggest on this?

Try taking a GMATPrep test, it is the most accurate of all tests.

I already took the GMAT Prep and finished two tests.

So if i have to do them again, won't the questions repeat? Does they have any pool to questions?
I am scared of this because, when ever i see a old question i try to mark the answer without even thinking. And this might give a falsy score by showing more numbers.

So can you please suggest on this? My date is fast approaching?

Supposedly each GMAT Prep won't include many, if any, repeats until your 3rd test. Your second should be pretty unique. I have taken GMAT Prep 1 4 times and, while I now get plenty of repeats on the verbal section, most quant problems seemed new. I'm saving GMAT Prep 2 for later.

Are you planning on changing the date if your practice test scores are not close to your goal? If you have no plans to change your test date, I don't think you should even look at the score. My reason is that these scores do not matter because they have no bearing on the actual score of GMAT. In fact, they might do more harm than good because a bad score could drop your confidence even when you are well prepared for the test.

I recommend that you practice on these tests for the sake of practicing the questions and don't even think about the score.

If that is so, then i can repeat taking the GMATPrep tests again by getting over the weak areas. Also i don't mind as long as the repeats are very few. Thanks again.

Coming to the date, but your score in practice tests is what makes you feel comfortable when you go for a test right?
I do agree that we can't rely completely on practice test score, but its natural tendency to be confident when we get a 700 and feel bad when we get a 600 in practice tests.

I shall take this point and see them as practice until and unless i get a 700
