from 440 to 640.. Aiming for 700+

Hello Everyone!
I have given GMAT twice managed to get a decent score in the second attempt. In the first attempt, I scored 440(Quant 25, verbal 17). After struggling for almost two months and i scored GMAT 640( Quant 45, verbal 25).However,I failed to score good in Verbal. My weak areas are Sentence correction and RC's.
In all the GMAT prep, i have never manages to score more than 27 - 30 in Verbal. :(
Can you please help me devise a study plan? And how do i Start my preparation for verbal? Which book should i Start from now?

Please Help!!

I'm going to go ahead and assume that English isn't your first language. Depending on how much time you have. I would recommend that you go through a vocabulary builder book first. Before you even attempt to tackle GMAT verbal, attempt to build your vocab. While doing this, also read for an hour a day. Read something like the economist. After you do this, get the powerscore Critical Reasoning Bible, and either the powerscore Sentence Correction Bible, or the Manhattan Sentence Correction Guide. Those two should help.

Recieved a PM asking me to reply.

Wow! You really showed great improvement from your first test to your second.

Start with this article: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2010/02/ ... study-plan

The first thing it will have you do is take a practice test and then analyze that test to figure out your strengths and weaknesses (in much greater detail than "SC and RC"). Once you have a better handle on your very specific strengths and weaknesses, you can then devise a study plan (which is also described in that article).

Here's another article that contains a list of links to a bunch of other "how to study" articles: https://www.beatthegmat.com/mba/2010/03/ ... study-list

Once you've started developing your study plan, you can use these other articles to learn how to get the most out of what you're studying.

As you study, come back here to let us know how it's going and to ask any questions you might have. Good luck!
Please note: I do not use the Private Messaging system! I will not see any PMs that you send to me!!
