Can anyone solve this?

The probability is that a red marble will be selected from a bag is 1/3. If a marble is selected and replaced three times, what is the probability that a red marble will never be selected?

1/27
2/27
8/27
1/3
2/3
Regards,
Priyanka

is the answer 8/27??

probability of not selecting red marble = 1 - 1/3 = 2/3

marble is replaced after every selection, hence the probabilities remain same for every event

for 3 times red marble not selcted: 2/3 * 2/3 * 2/3 = 8/27
