Jar X has 3 white balls and 2 green balls. Jar Y has one white call and 3 green balls. If one jar is selected at random, what is the probability that a white ball is selected?

Select Jar X and then ball = 1/2 * 3/5
Select Jar Y and then ball = 1/2 * 1/4

Total = 1/2 * (3/5 + 1/4) = 17/40

What is OA?
