What are you allowed to bring into the test center?

Just wondering what actual items you're allowed to bring into the test center during your test day, i.e. things you don't have to put into a locker. I couldn't find this info on the GMAT website.

- tissues
- earplugs
- headphones

I've heard different things from different people, but was hoping people who've already taken it in the US could enlighten me.

Actually.. I don't think you are allowed to bring in anything. Not even paper in your pocket. They have tissue before you go into the actual room with computers. Also, earplugs and headphones are next to each desk. I took it a couple of weeks ago. Pretty much, nothing is allowed into the actual test room.

You cannot bring ANYTHING into the test center unless it is made with an exception approval by GMAC.

The three things you listed are provided by the test center, and you do not need to bring your own.

They also let me take in a bottle of water.

The GMAC is very strict about what you are allowed to bring in. If you need even the most minor accomodation you will have to apply for special consideration and have medical supporting evidence. Pretty much it is GMAC minimal committment to the disabilities acts of the various countries the test is done in.
