Kaplan SC verbal workbook

by bhumika.k.shah » Fri Feb 12, 2010 5:04 am
hi,
I wanted to know how good and reliable is kaplan's sentence correction workbook ?

What range would their difficulty level be as compared to the real GMAT

Should i start solving from this book ? they've only got questions and answer explanations.

Please suggest!

Thanks :)

If you have the book, going through it definitely can't hurt. I would recommend doing as many SC problems as possible. In terms of difficulty, from my experience, none of the prep companies do a good job similuating the difficulty of the GMATs SC problems. After you answer the first 3 or 4 of them, it becomes very hard to even identify the error that the question is testing.

I'm assuming you have the Official Guide and the verbal supplement. After that I would probably just use the SC 1000 blog. Its free online, and it ensures that you won't run out of questions.

There have been soo many posts already on 1000 SC. where most of the times the answer options are wrong. Is it good to rely on em ? Not to forget , they dont even have answer explanations.

I think there is still value in doing them. If you think its wrong, identify the error and identify how the sentence should read in order to be correct.

So according to you , i should finish of with kaplan SC practice tests.( btw , im already done with 1 , 2 more to go. ) and then do OG 10th,11th and 12th edition (gmat review + verbal review ) and then if i still got time i should be doing 1000 SC

Am i right?
