how to SLOW DOWN?

by pp8w » Mon Sep 01, 2008 8:33 pm
Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could give me any guidance on how to slow down. I am finishing the practice tests with about 10 min left in math and 30 minutes left on verbal. This is a pretty bad use of time. Does anyone have any ideas?

To give some background I'm scoring in the mid 600s on Kaplan CATs with a noticeably higher score in math.

Thanks,

PP

One way is to look at the watch at the top of the screen. :)

And I really want to know what your pace is on the verbal section so you have 30 minutes to spare as long as you score around 40. ( Give or take 5 )

Hi,

Well as suggested above, use the clock. Further, concentrate more on accuracy in the first 20-25 responses (I have strong reasons to believe this).

Moreover, mid 600's with 10 min in quant and 30 min on Verbal is really amazing. You will conquer the GMAT at such a pace be rest assured. However, to reiterate, take care of accuracy in the first 20-25 responses in each section.

Thanks and Regards,
