Is 0 positive?

If a question stem states that variables are positive, can you assume that a variable is not negative?

E.g. Each of a, b and c is positive.

Is b > 0 or b >= 0?

Zero is neither positive nor negative. So it would fall under both the categories, a number which is non-negative - i.e "all the positive numbers and zero" and a number which is non-positive - "zero and all the negative numbers."

I would go for b > 0 and not b >=0. Well thats my two cents.

The definition of a positive number is that it is greater than 0, so your answer would be b>0.

I believe that "zero" to be our "favorite" integer and it is considered to be even.
