When to Start Practice Test

by vidhya16 » Sat Jul 16, 2011 9:20 am
Guys,

I have covered 50% of GMAT Material and have taken GMAT Prep [Test 1] two times. I wanted to give a GMAT Prep Test 1 for the third time today and see how I progressed. Before I could proceed , I thought to invite some suggestion or advice from fellow MBA aspirants.

Is it better to give test as we proceed or complete the material [MGMAT - Set of Strategy] first before starting the practice test again?

Hi,
I haven't taken the test yet. But, I am just posting my view. I feel it is better to keep taking tests at regular intervals. Do not think too much about scores. Because no test is going to guarantee you score in the real test. What matters the most is the review you do after each test and make a note of your mistakes. I don't think it is a great idea to wait until you finish 100% of the material, which in my opinion is never gonna happen. We are never sure that we have covered 100% of the material because always a new thing will come. So, after each test, compare the areas which you have done bad in the previous test with the ones in the current test and analyze your improvement and make efforts accordingly. There are many free tests which you can try meanwhile before planning to subscribe for any set of tests.
Good Luck!
Cheers!
