Is the answer D ?

A and B are out because of using FOR.
C- improper construction and use of possessive pronoun not required

As is used to compare 2 clause .. so i Chose D .

Out of D and E , I will go with E...becaise we dont need 'do' here..the usage is that X works in place of Y (as in, they might not act exactly in the same manner as teeth do, but they serve the purpose of teeth)

whats the oa?
