Frustrated

So I am only about a week into my GMAT prep but like many others before me Im totlly frustrated.
I started with the PR Book and the MGMAT Books. My strengths are math, except for ds and geometry and verbal I need to work on.
I just went thru almost all the math chapters in PR Book except for geomtry and ds which I want to really and read the MGMAT Fractions/Decimals/Percent book so I just started taking the practive questions from OG Quant and even on things that are my stronger areas like problem solving I am geting 1/2 questions wrong, these are supposed to be the sections I have no problems with and started with them to boost confidence except my confidence is shot allready.
I am hoping to start on another MGMAT math book this week and start a verbal one also but I feel like I am making no progress at all, getting more wrong it seems

Perhaps you should start off a little bit slower. From what I've read on these boards, the MGMAT books are more like advanced books than beginner ones. I have an engineering degree (computer science) and I went through the PR book first and did horribly on math (Q36 and Q34 on PowerPrep and PR1).

I went through the PR Math workbook and it helped a lot because it provided many, simple problems that tested specific areas. I think the Kaplan math workbook is better organized though. I would go with the Kaplan book over the PR book if I had the choice. By the way, after I went though the PR Math book, I scored a 45 on Q on the GMATPrep 1.

Don't be so hard on yourself! You shouldn't expect rapid improvement in the first few days of your studies. It will take time for you to get familiar with the concepts and apply these concepts to your practice.

Be sure to be diligent about studying your errors so you won't repeat them in the future. Good luck!
