Hi Guys,

I wrote my first practice test today (GMAT Prep) and scored 760, Quant 50, Verbal 41. I made 5 mistakes in Quant and 7 mistakes in Verbal. How do I improve my score from here? I havent yet started my preparation. I am planning on working through Official Guide and Verbal Review. Will that be sufficient?

Nice starting score! Going through the OG and the Verbal review will definitely be helpful, but you should probably also buy a Sentence correction book (Manhattan's is pretty good). If you have time you might even want to go through a couple. If you get really good at SC you'll be able to save a lot of time which you can then spend on CR (critical reasoning) and RC (reading comprehension) Also, go through the articles on this site about RC under the self study tab.

Cheers!
