1.5 bowls are needed to make 4 servings of the dish.
Question=> How many bowls of noodles will Malvika use next Saturday?

Statement 1:Next Saturday, Malvika will make half the number of servings that she prepared earlier today.
This statement does not tell us the number of servings prepared today, hence, statement 1 is NOT SUFFICIENT.

Statement 2: Earlier today, Malvika used half a dozen bowls of noodles to prepare her dish.

1.5 bowls = 4 servings
12/2 bowls = x servings
$$Total\ servings\ earlier\ today=\frac{6\cdot4}{1.5}=\frac{24}{1.5}=16\ servings$$
but we don't know how much is needed for Saturday. So, statement 2 is also NOT SUFFICIENT.

Combining both statement 1 and 2
Earlier today, 6 bowls were used for 16 servings.
For Saturday Malvika, will use 1/2 the number of servings prepared earlier today = 1/2 of 16 = 8 servings on Saturday.
1.5 bowls = 4 servings
x bowls = 8 servings
Bowls of noodles needed for next Saturday = (8 * 1.5) / 4 = 3 bowls of noodles
Therefore, both statements together are SUFFICIENT.

Both statements together are SUFFICIENT. The answer is option C.
