Best books to start preparation

by shebinjs » Tue Nov 09, 2010 11:35 pm
Hi All,
I am from engineering background, now working with an IT company. Total experience is 5 years and now I am in Sydney for the past 2 years with a leading Australian bank. I want to do 1 year MBA course in finance from an Indian institute preferably ISB.

I want to know the best preparation books I can use as per my current level.

I feel myself really good in Maths and problem solving questions.

Little weak in Verbal.

So which are the bets books with which I can start my preparation? Gurus - Please help.

Hi Shebinjis,
Welcome to beatthegmat. You can browse through the forums and see what books did those who have done well on the GMAT use .
For Verbal, you'll need to work very meticulously ,moreso when you are targetting ISB where 700+ score is the norm. And to improve on the Verbal section is a daunting task .So you'll have to put in the requisite "smart work".
