3/5 of 12000 are graduating this year => 7200 graduating, remaining students are 4800.

Of these 4800 students, 1/4 graduated early, 1/3 are remaining at school => 1- (1/4 + 1/3) = 5/12 either quit of transferred

transferred students = 4 * quitters

=> quit = 1/12 and transferred = 1/3.

No. of students graduated early = 4800 * 1/4 = 1200
No. of students transferred = 4800 * 1/3 = 1600.

Therefore Answer is B (400 fewer graduated early than transferred students)

3/5*12000=7200

remaining = 4800
1/4 * 4800 = 1200 graduated early
1/3 * 4800 = 1600 remain at school

4800-1200-1600=2000 either got transferred to another school or quit school altogether

A-(transferred to another school)
B-(quit school altogether)

A=4B

B=400
A=1600

answer is B
