Apart from GMATPrep, Which CAT has verbal close to GMAT ?

When I was prepping, I really liked Princeton Review and Kaplan's practice tests.

Thanks for reply Eric.... But I generally hear that PR is a notch easier than real deal and Kaplan is way tougher .... some say MGMAT is also easier than real one ... so I am confused on which one to take

I think that the answer to your question will vary from one person to another. People will tell all kind of different things about the same thing. If you pay attention to people who got great scores you will realize that GMAT PREP is their primary practice tool. And MGMAT is very close to it but IT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL so stick with GMAT PREP to gauge yourself. Also both https://www.800score.com and www.gmatclub.com have great verbal tests, which you have to pay for.

I have experience of both Kaplan and MGMAT CATs. In terms of Verbal, I believe that Kaplan questions most closely mimic those of the the GMATPrep software. I found that MGMAT incorrect answer choices were easier to eliminate than those of Kaplan and GMATPrep. However, the scoring of MGMAT is strangely closer to GMATPrep.

Many people acknowledge that Kaplan scoring is a bit harsher than the actual GMAT/GMATPrep.

I would suggest PR for a good review of verbal and Kaplan GMAT for a more realistic examination of your abilities.

Wish you the best with the studies! I definitely recommend Kaplan and MGMAT but realise that it will take you some time.... I'm likely to take my test end Oct now so in total, I will have studied every day for 6 months solid (working full time).

One other thing, MGMAT quant is sometimes wordier than the actual GMAT and Kaplan quant is more similar to that of GMATPrep. However, weirdly, I find MGMAT scoring higher - and thus more encouraging! I needed the psychological boost so worked on Kaplan first and then MGMAT.

I will give couple of princeton tests, all kaplan tests (to develop stamina) and MGMAT ( to boost morale)

i only practiced w GMAT Prep and MGMAT ....learned a lot from MGMAT Verbal. Scored V46

Kaplan is way tougher if that is what you are looking for. However tougher does not necessarily mean BETTER. MGMAT although does a pretty good job in the Logic, i find MGMAT SC to be easier compared to GMAT PREP. Veritas Prep has a pretty good SC but their RC is tougher (especially in the last 2 CAT's). I find veritas to be more challenging then MGMAT (particularly the last 2 cat's) especially if you are looking for tougher RC and SC. Veritas Prep CR are not indicative in my opinion ( I find MGMAT CR to be more comparable to GMAT PREP)
