Adults have the right to vote; so should adolescents. Admittedly, adolescents and adults are not the same. But to the extent that adolescents and adults are different, adults cannot be expected to represent the interests of adolescents. If adults cannot represent the interests of adolescents, then only by giving adolescents the vote will these interests represented.

The argument relies on which one of the following assumption?

(A) The right to vote is a right that all human beings should have.
(B) Adolescents and adults differ in most respects that are important.
(C) Adolescents should have their interests represented.
(D) Anyone who has the right to vote has all the right an adult has.
(E) Adolescents have never enjoyed the right to vote.

The argument relies on the claim that adults and adolescents are not the same. They have different interests and so adults cannot represent the interests of adolescents. In order to represent the interests of the adolescents, it is important to give them right to vote.

If representation of interests of adolescents is not that critical for allowing vote rights, then the argument will fall flat on its face. So C is a critical assumption made by the author in the argument.

C is therefore right.

So ..all the related premise establishing that has been provided

Conclusion - then only by giving adolescents the vote will these interests represented...

So , here the conclusion states that adolescents should be given the right to vote because they need to have their interests represented ... So, key point is they need to have their interests represented .....if this is included in the question stem , then it becomes logically derivable that adolescents need to vote ....

C fits into that
