A bit about me:
I'm hoping to get into either DePaul or Loyola (Chicago) for their part-time MBA programs. Would go for marketing.

B.S. in journalism from University of Tennessee
GPA: 2.78 (ouch) It really is all over the board--one semester I took 17 credit hours with a 3.67, another was 12 hours and a 1.6
GMAT: 550, 51st percentile (34 Quant, 40th percentile, 32 Verbal, 64th percentile)
Extracurriculars: News editor of daily campus newspaper, volunteer for Democratic party, member of Young Dems
Post-grad work experience: PR, less than one year
While in college I typically held at least one job and during some semesters was working 40+ hours per week. I did have success in journalism and was awarded a newspaper internship that took one intern out of 500 applicants and covered Major League Baseball, the Daytona 500 and a PGA Tour event. In all, I completed nine journalism-related part-time/internship positions, many times more than one at a time while in college.
Realistically what are my chances for the part-time programs at DePaul or Loyola? What can I do to make my application stronger? I only studied for about two weeks for the GMAT and scored a 640 on my practice test. Is it worth retaking? I am set on staying in Chicago, but would also be open to distance learning programs. Are there any distance learning schools where I would be in the ballpark at?
