I wrote the GMAT 3 times. The first time i was very under prepared and didn't know much about the exam including the fact that all the subsequent scores would be sent to schools.
First time: 590
Second time: 690
Third time: 690
i don't know what i did wrong in the third attempt, but the score in my quant section came down very bad (40 - 59%).
i know that i can do better in quant because it has always been my strong area, i am an engineer by education and it was much better in all the previous attempts. i feel i should take the GMAT once more to rectify this error and get the score i deserve. But i'm not sure how adcoms will take this. My query is - Will adcom view this in a negative light if i take it a fourth time?
I wanted to apply to Wharton, Stanford and Kellogg among the top schools. The only reason i'm stressing on a higher score (ideally, above 720) is that my undergraduate GPA is, putting it bluntly, much below average. I want to offset the difference with my score, applications and work experience of 7 years.
