the sentence is in past tense. So A is wrong

B) 'the large scale introduction' and 'the substitution' are parallel. 'of enclosed fields' and 'of new farming methods....' are parallel. involved is correct tense.

C) usage of which is wrong here

D) not parallel
E)not parallel

ans B

OA pls.

The answer is B, and I arrived at the answer strictly using the process of elimination. I really didn't care for any of the answers, but B is the best choice.

First you can eliminate D and E because they erased the comma after 'revolution'. There must be a comma there, because 'known as the agrarian revolution' is a dependent phrase.

A -- can't work because 'involving' is present tense and the sentence is talking about a historical event.

C -- 'which involved' does not make sense in this case. 'which' is unnecessary.

So it has to be B.

Daniel, Can you please suggest what will be issues with D/E? apart from parallelism as mentioned above which is not clear to me!!!!

There is very simple concept here.

Every sentence should be a complete sentence in SC.

In A, can u see a complete sentence. There is no working verb.

During the 18 century, widespread changes in agriculture, known as the agrarian revolution, involving X and Y.

This is not a complete sentence.

I did not even read any choice, I found only B logically makes a SENTENCE.

During the 18 century, widespread changes in agriculture, known as the agrarian revolution, involved X and Y.

involved : Working verb.

widespread change known as agrarian revolution involved X and Y.

if you use Which, That : they will make a separate clause, but main clause has is not a clause actually.

I like D better.

"involved" is needed to make it a complete sentence hence we are left with B and D (E does not use it correctly). In B there are too many "and". Author i think is trying to compare "the large-scale introduction of enclosed fields", "new farming
techniques and crops" and "of..."

hence we need comma between first to items and not "and".

OA please

IMO B,

Out of B and D, i think we need a comma after the word revolution in D, to make "..known as the agrarian revolution,.." a appositive modifier and also a non essential modifier. With out the comma, "involved" seems to modify the revolution, whereas it should modify the "changes".
