IMO May/Might is not the issue here for getting the right answer.

The other options are wordy, and the first option doesn't have anything wrong with it

Just wanted to know why the answer choice C is wrong.That also have the idiom "attributed to".

the idiom being tested here is X attributed to Y where X and Y are llel
in C X and Y are not parallel
A is correct
