Well, if you want to do an MBA you should definitely take the GMAT! :)

Although a 3.0 is on the cusp I think that as a black female licensed lawyer, if you have good work experience, good dreams, something unique (work with the community? fantastic stories? something else?) you can have a shot, at least at Haas (Stanford will likely be a stretch but if you have to stay int he bay area anyhow, why not try?)

Minimum GMAT??? Say about 700. Although 720+ would be better (and maybe a 690 would be okay).

Your GPA does not preclude you at all. As an applicant from two underrepresented minority groups a score even in the mid-600's would be sufficient, assuming the other aspects of your profile are compelling.
