Hi All,

I am a Systems Enginner currently working with Infosys Technologies Ltd., Hyderabad. Just because i got my Infosys joining Instructions a bit late after the completion of B.Tech., i joined Convergys as a Technical Support Officer for AT&T.
I worked at Convergys for 5 Months, for which i do have the appropriate Documents and it has been 1.3 years in my Current Job.
I am planning to take GMAT in the month of Sep this year.
The question that i have is for the B Schools which Consider Workex of a person in the selection Criteria(those with 1 year MBA Programmes), like ISB and others, which require Minimum 2 years of Workex with a superb GMAT Scores to be eligible for application, will my 5 months of BPO Experience be considered as well or not.
I have this concern because keeping in mind the (deadline for)second round of ISB which is somewhere in November i won't be 2 years in my IT Job but including my 5 Months of BPO Job where i developed the profile of a Star Agent for the Process with consistently positive CSAT Scores, my total Workex would be 2.3 years which will make me Eligible to applyt o ISB from Workex point of view.
BTGers.....your feedback needed.
Also, Do people apply to ISB with as little experience as i am planning to...?

Regards,

Your work experience would be considered all the way up to matriculation including any work experience you garnered post-undergrad. It doesn't matter if you were a contract employee, temp, or non-exempt as long as you worked full time hours in a professional capacity. Work you performed as a student would generally not be considered, but could always serve as leadership examples, etc....just not in your WordEx totals.

Hi Nishant,

Your work ex. will be considered. So, dont worry.

Also, ISB considers work ex. till joining. So, if you are applying for Class of 2012, your work ex. till Mar 2011 will be considered which will be more than 2 years.

Yes, ISB takes people with 2 years of work ex. So, focus on your essays to present a good story.
