Hi there,

I would like to know the simplest process to resolve this DS. Explanation is requested.

Is positive integer n divisible by 3 ?
(1) n(square)/36 is an integer.
(2) 144/n2 is an integer

IMO A

1)n^2=36k
n^2=2^2*3^2*k
whatever be the value of k. n must have atlest one 3 as a factor.
SUFF

2) n^2*k=144=3^2*2^4
here it will depend upon k, n may or may not have 3 as a factor
for ex:n=16,k=9
and n=3,k=16
The powers of two are bloody impolite!!
